On Saturday July 10th the Hecktown Vol. Fire Co. #1 participated in the 83rd annual Tatamy Firefighters Parade. After a day of heavy rain, multiple calls and final prep work on the apparatus, Engine 5311, Rescue/Engine 5312, Tanker 5331, and Traffic Unit 5349 headed to Tatamy Borough. After the parade concluded, members got to enjoy the sights, sounds and food of the carnival held on the grounds of the fire company. At 2200hrs. the trophies were awarded. The HFCo.#1 was awarded 1st Place for Best Appearing Pumper - new to 5 YRS. old for 5311, and 1st Place for Best Appearing Tanker for 5331. The officers and members of Station 53 would like to thank Tatamy Fire Company again for a great time.
