The HVFCo. was alerted at 14:02 as part of the 1st Alarm for a Barn Fire on Van Buren Road in Palmer Township. 2751 (Fire Commissioner Grube) arrived on scene with a well involved barn and established 27 Command. 2752 (AC Carr) was assigned 27 Operations. Ladder 2721 arrived on scene, and the crew stretched an 1 3/4 handline to protect the exposure building and then put the ladder pipe in-service. Engine/Rescue 2713 laid 600' of 5" and established the water supply to 2721. 2712, 5312, and 1411 arrived on scene and all personnel reported to the staging area. Personnel assisted with accountability, scene safety, fire attack, and overhaul. 5312 relocated to Fire 27 Station 1 at 15:15 hrs. and handled 2 additional calls.
