This past weekend, 5 members from Hecktown Fire Company dedicated their time to traveling to West Chester Pa to advance their training with Eckert Fire Tactics, “Takin’ It To The Streets” class.

Hosted and taught by Bobby Eckert and handfuls of firefighters from around the country, including city’s in California, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey, everyone came together for a weekend of hard training. With a total of 90 firefighters in the class, firefighters battled conditions of freezing rain, sleet and snow, and worked in multiple skill sets that include but are not limited to Basement Fires, VES, Structural Collapse, Roof Operations, Forcible Entry, Rapid Intervention, and more. All stations included Live Fire and as realistic conditions as possible. In total, there were 16 different skill sets trained on over the weekend.
